Let’s Encrypt ist ein Zertifikatsaussteller welcher kostenlose domainvalidierte SSL Zertifikate ausstellt. Der Vorteil dieser Zertifikate ist allerdings, dass Sie im Vergleich zu selbst signierten Zertifikaten von jedem modernen Browser akzeptiert werden. Seit dem Start des Projektes am 03.12.2015 unterstützt das LiveConfig Userpanel unserer Webhosting Tarife die automatische Installation und Verlängerung dieser Zertifikate.
Let’s encrypt Zertifikat erstellen
Wenn Sie Ihre Webseite mit einem SSL Zertifikat von Let’s Encrypt absichern möchten, gehen Sie bitte wie folgt vor:
- Loggen Sie sich im Userpanel ein und klicken im Menü bitte aus „SSL Zertifikate“
- Nun klicken Sie bitte auf den Button „Zertifikatsverwaltung“ und erstellen einen neuen Zugang
- in dem Pop-up geben Sie bitte Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ein, die Angabe einer Telefonnummer ist optional und speichern das ganze
- nun klicken Sie oben neben „Zertifikatsverwaltung“ auf „SSL Zertifikate“ und erstellen dort ein neues Zertifikat
- Klicken Sie nun bitte auf ACME und kreuzen Sie die automatische Verwaltung an
- im Feld Domainname geben Sie den abzusichernden Domainnamen an und speichern das ganze
Kurze Zeit später erscheint in der Tabelle Ihrer SSL Zertifikate automatisch das angeforderte Zertifikat, welches Sie nun unter „Domains“ nutzen können. Achten Sie bitte da drauf das die Standard Webhosting IP nur für http Anfragen ist, wenn Sie ein Zertifikat nutzen möchten wechseln Sie bitte im Dropdown Menü „Software/IPs:“der jeweiligen Domain die IP auf eine, die SNI unterstützt.
Dann erhalten Sie in derselben Maske auch die Möglichkeit HTTPS Zugriff auszuwählen und dort dann Ihr Zertifikat auszuwählen. Die neue IP muss dann aber auch im DNS Management hinterlegt werden. Beachten Sie bitte, dass eine IP Änderung einige Zeit dauern kann. Das liegt daran, dass sich die neue IP erst weltweit „rumsprechen“ muss und manche Nameserver schneller sind als andere. So kann es z.B. sein, dass Ihre Webseite über dem Smartphone bereits per HTTPS erreichbar ist, aber über Ihren Festnetzanschluss noch nicht.
SSL Zertifikate von Let’s Encrypt besitzen eine Gültigkeit von 90 Tagen, unser Userpanel kümmert sich aber automatisch um die Verlängerung Ihres Zertifikates. Sie müssen sich also um nichts mehr kümmern.
