Some Speedport routers from Telekom only allow e-mail to be sent for services previously enabled in the router. If the service has not been enabled there, sending e-mails is not possible.
In this article we explain which settings you have to make to enable email sending via Plambee.de in such a case.
- Log in to your Speedport router. To do this, enter the address: http//:speedport.ip in your browser and press the Enter key. Alternatively, you can enter the IP address http://192.168.2.1 (if you have changed the IP address of your router, please use the new IP address).
- Log in to your router, the initial password can usually be found on the back of your router. If you have changed the password, please use the new access data.
- In the configuration interface, select the “Internet” menu item
- Then select the “Secure server list”.
- Click on “Add another e-mail server” and enter our SMTP server addresses such as “mail.hostingpakete.de” (without quotation marks “”). You can find the name of your mail server e.g. in our hosting panel at your e-mail box. It is the same server name that you had to store in your e-mail program.
In this case, if you are still unable to send e-mails despite having them enabled in the router, it is recommended that you disable the list of trusted SMTP servers in your router.
Since the web interfaces of the routers change over time, and there are regularly new models, this guide serves as an orientation for newer models. Unfortunately, we cannot cover every model in every version here. If you have any questions about your Telekom router, please contact Telekom support.
