NoVNC is a VNC client that allows you to control your root server from home and see what you would see if you were to connect a monitor to your root server.
The range of functions is identical to the VNC console, but offers the advantage that NoVNC does not use Java and is based entirely on HTML5.
By not using Java, a potential security gap is closed (unfortunately Java is always vulnerable) and browsers and mobile devices support HTML5 without additional software.
NoVNC is helpful if you want to do without SSH, for example, or if a mistake has been made in the server configuration and a network connection is no longer possible, as the whole thing works via the host system and is not dependent on an active network connection of your root server.
Tip: If you only get a black screen with the NoVNC console or if the console does not accept any commands after starting, click on the console window after starting the NoVNC console and then press the Tab key on your keyboard once.
