From time to time it can happen that the spam filters recognize a mail incorrectly and thus, for example, a normal e-mail is marked as spam or that a spam mail is not recognized as such and lands in your mailbox.
In both cases you have the possibility to train your spam filter so that the recognition works even better.
Train messages via the panel
To train a message via the SpamExperts panel, please proceed as follows:
- Log in to the SpamExperts panel
- Click on the menu item “Train messages” in the left menu.
- Upload the message you have previously exported from your mail program as MSG, EML or TXT file.
- Select whether you want to train the message as a legitimate (i.e. desired) or as spam (i.e. unwanted) message.
- Click next to finish
Train messages by e-mail
Besides the possibility to train an email via the web panel, you can also send the desired or unwanted message via email to the filter for training. For this purpose, the unwanted or desired message must be sent as an attachment (.eml, .msg, or winmail.dat) to the SpamExperts system. Depending on the filter type, a different e-mail address must be used as the recipient for this.
- To train an email as a legitimate message, send it as an attachment (.eml, .msg, or winmail.dat) to the email address not-spam@spamrl.com.
- To train an email as spam, send it as an attachment (.eml, .msg, or winmail.dat) to the email address spamreport@spamrl.com.
Use the email address which is used by SpamExperts and for which you want to train the filtering.
